Lightstreamer (Weswit Srl)

Lightstreamer is a push engine for live data distribution. Based on the AJAX-Comet paradigm it streams real-time data to an HTML browser without the need to download or install anything on the client, updating the changed data on the screen without reloads. Lightstreamer was originally developed as part of a Financial Systems Integration activity starting in 2000). Weswit Srl was subsequently created as an Independent Software Vendor to provide Lightstreamer 'Push' middleware solutions for streaming real-time data in application areas such as finance and gaming.

Lightstreamer is a push engine for live data distribution. It can also enliven any traditional thick client application with streaming data through client APIs. The optimized use of HTTP together with bandwidth control and adaptive streaming techniques results in a robust and efficient live data delivery, passing through proxies and firewalls.
